From the ashes of much-loved Aussie group Hungry Kids of Hungary, a new trio, Sans Parents, has begun to blossom. Former HKOH bandmates Kane Mazlin and Ryan Strathie have teamed up with Andy Bull collaborator Alex Bennison. "Coming Back To You" is our first taste of their shiny new sound, and it's one of the best new singles of 2015 thus far.
While the song is shrouded in elements of indie pop, there's no hiding the punk roots that give it that frenetic energy that just makes you wanna jump around the room. The music itself is simple, almost juvenile, while the catchy chorus is sparky and so much fun.
The punchy riffs and frantic drums lace the track with a raucous, cheerful aggression. I have a feeling it's begging to explode on the live stage, so keep an eye out in the coming weeks for a tour announcement and more new music!
