Listening to Drake's "More Life" this weekend gave me a headache. I know that won't be a very popular opinion, but here's why.
The overall album felt very disjointed in vibe. It was as if every song were part of a different album. Just kind of all over the place. Don't get me wrong, he has a couple of solid hits like "Passionfruit," which will probably be on the radio today. But for the most part, it lacked strong lyrics and even the simple relatable ones he is known for.
I guess that's why I gravitated to Sandovall's "Now" this morning. It's easy to like. It's easy to listen to and understand. You don't find yourself fighting a bad mix to make out the words. It's all in your face—simple and chill af.
Check it out because it's worth a listen and probably something you've definitely been looking for.
