Why do we like this?
This lovely chamber pop single by San Fermin called "Daedalus (What We Have)" is one of epic proportions.
The build-up lasts for about half the song; there's definitely a lot of patience and conviction that goes into the composition of this track. With orchestra intact, the strings quietly tip-toe around the scarce but bellowing beat as the xylophone provides a twinkling effect. And that's just the first half of the song! Layers of a hymnal chorus chime in on top of the brass section, a drum-rolled beat, and punchy piano, while lead singer Allen Tate's baritone vocals bring a stand-out bass effect.
And this is just the beginning. San Fermin will be releasing their self-titled debut album on September 17. Stay tuned!
