Why do we like this?
We were completely blown away by Samm Henshaw's 2014 single "Only Wanna Be With You," so much so that he made it into our top 10 soul/R&B songs of the year.
Henshaw is a name on the rise; at only 20 years old, he's showing himself to be a serious force in the resurgence of blues and soul, and I couldn't be happier.
So, it gives me great pleasure to bring you his newest single "Redemption." The track kicks off with sparse bluesy twangs and one of the deepest, coolest vocal melodies I’ve heard in a long time. The passionate lyrics really immerse you into the story of the song, embellished to perfection with vocal harmonies and a harmonica.
Full of soul and raw passion, I cannot get enough of this track.
