Why do we like this?

Scottish teen Sam Gellaitry dives into his personal archives for his second release since dropping his sophomore EP Escapism.

“Rise/set” features a masterful arrangement of orchestral strings, reverberated harp, and his brilliant touch of youthful bass and trap, coinciding with the theme of his first EP Short Stories.

If you’ve followed Sam at all you may recognize a ton of the same samples used (i.e. tambourine shake), yet he always finds a way to make them sound new and fresh with each release. Through it all, he’s come to create this lively experience unmatched by any other electronic act in the game, proven once again with "rise/set."
