Why do we like this?
Rustie hardly needs an introduction. The Glaswegian has been putting out obscure sounds since 2007, with the exceptional album Glass Swords out in 2011. However, this newest release, "Boatsss," is especially different for Rustie. That's because the track is being released in support of Everything Is New, an international multimedia arts project featuring and supporting Dalit 'untouchable' children in south-east India,
"Boatsss" is boom-bap music at its finest, deceptively calm with every build. A gleaming atmosphere into an odd electronic ensemble, the track is almost something you would expect a child to listen to.
This is some seriously open minded music that is well worth more than one listen with a cause that is more than worthy.
