Having seen Sydney-based indie-dance troupe RÜFÜS perform a number of times since their inception, I can definitely tell you they're headed in the right direction. After releasing their debut EP last year, they've been touring incessantly - highlighted by a recent support slot for Röyksopp as well as numerous dates on the Australian tour circuit.
They've also been in the studio putting the finishing touches on a second EP, due to be released next month. The first cut from this new record is single "This Summer." RÃœFÃœS's signature is their icy, hypnotic beats, and this track does not differ from this successful formula. Mingled alongside Tyrone Lindqvist's echoing vocals and crisp waves of synth, their first single is bound to draw even more attention.
An energetic stage presence, talent to burn and a growing legion of support can only mean a lot more to come from RÃœFÃœS. Keep your ears open for further developments.
