Why do we like this?

I've been listening to RÜFÜS' new album quite a lot lately. There's clearly something about it that pulls me in. The songs are dark and heavy; they build slowly and all have a similar theme.

I don't reckon it's everyone's cup of tea, but the more I listen to Solace the more I like it. Each song has a fairly catchy hook, such as this one which follows a dreamy interlude with an uptempo breakdown alongside the repeated refrain "there's no place I'd rather be."

Bottom line is I'd recommend checking out the album.
