Of course I'm right on top of Kidnap Kid -- I'm straight obsessed. He can do no wrong in my eyes, and I would probably never recognize it if he did! But... he doesn't and he won't... so let's move on to the more important matter of talking about how awesome he is.
Kidnap is coming in hard with his latest Rudimental remix, "Waiting All Night." It's as solid as it is sparse, with a sort of take-on-the-world attitude. He's stripped away the crazed break-beat of the original and gets straight to the point.
The lyrics ring out, "I've been waiting all night for you" and with Kidnap Kid's heavy delivery one really gains a sense of urgency, frustration, longing, whatever... it's all there, deep in the "less is more" philosophy of this stellar edit.
