RUBY's "Kind" starts out slow and mournful, with an underlying sweetness that draws the listener in and hooks them for the remainder of the song's 3:41 duration.
At 1:08 the song comes into its full "form" (for me, at least), with a lovely guitar lick that managed to convince me that this was absolutely worth sharing with the Indie Shuffle audience. Heck, there's even a bit of Beirut-esque brass work going on.
Overall, this one gets a big thumbs up from me. If you're keen to hear more by them, check out Ruby McGinn's new EP Imperfector.
