Sounds like:
TOKiMONSTA,
El Train
Why do we like this?
Here's a smooth single from UK hip-hopista Rubee Rayne. The production from El Train is dope; it reminds me of once-underground-now-magazine-celeb TOKiMONSTA.
Rubee Rayne's an anomaly from Berkshire, with sweet vocals and what's being referred to as an "edgy" look -- you can't really pin her down. Just check out the difference between this track and her little acoustic interlude called "Cocaine." That one reminds me of the end of an episode from The OC. And don't take that as an insult; it's lovely. It's actually nice to see a mixed bag gracing the blogosphere these days rather than most of the cookie cutter electronic acts that are around.
Check her official site for blog, social media links, and other tracks.
