Normally I wouldn't post a 14 minute track as Song of the Day. But this newest track released by Röyksopp is absolutely mind-numbing, and was totally unexpected. "Shores of Easy" takes the listener on an up-and-down journey, beginning in barren deserts of minimal electronica, eventually giving way to sharp peaks and bass-driven beats.
Described by the band as "best served when calm," they warn that this song does not reperesent a good example of tracks to come. Is that a good thing? I'm not sure. Frankly, I want more and more of this.
