Sydney's Rosie Catalano is set to release her sophomore EP Dreams Are Just Movies next week. The crowd-funded record will contain tracks featuring a number of collaborations with local musicians, with the first single "Hearts" including vocals from the talented Jack Carty.
Catalano has a talent that most singer/songwriters constantly strive for but only a small few achieve: the ability to draw the listener into her story. While the accompanying music is stirring in its own right, this is a completely vocal-driven track. While Catalano's rich voice isn't overly feminine, the combination with Carty's subtle but strong vocals is spot on -- there's a beautiful, haunting nature to the song.
