Why do we like this?

Vocalist Alyssa Coco and guitarist Matt Merritt are the creative duo behind Roses & Revolution. They've just released their new track "The Pines," a haunting and hazy indie pop track inspired by the 90's TV show Twin Peaks

Coco's breathy voice drips into the rhythmic creases between guitar notes and subdued hi-hats, giving this one an eerie and melodic feel to it. The desolate production provides a soundtrack to seclusion; emphasizing the escapist attitude of the lyrics.

This one shows an electronic shift for the duo, whose past work has been considerably more folk infused. They also do a killer rendition of The Weeknd's "The Hills." Keep up with them on Facebook.
