Why do we like this?
Another belle of the music mecca that is the UK, Roses Gabor is a lady who's very vocally blessed. If the name seems familiar to any of you out there, it may be because she lent those silky pipes to SBTRKT on his single "Pharaohs."
Gabor's first EP, titled Stars, features a glitchy, flirtatious title track and the dreamy, velvety b-side "Night Sky." Incorporating a cornucopia of musical elements, such as 90s R&B and bass influences, it seems that the world has just inherited a female answer to The Weeknd. Thank god it's not in the form of an answer song for anyone who remembers "No Pigeons." *shudder*
I'm sure Gabor will be on the blogosphere's lips come 2013, so make sure to keep this name in your pocket for some musical clout. Stars is due out December 17 on Toddla T's label Girls via Ninja Tune.
