Boy, what a difference a year can make! Last time we featured Ron Pope was in April of 2012 for his single "One Grain Of Sand," an alt-country / folk-pop tune that was easy on the ears and earned him lots of attention.
Since then, it appears Ron's reinvented his sound.
Released yesterday, "Lick My Wounds" is an upbeat and catchy indie pop track that only barely hints at prior folk roots. Filled with lots of oohs and ahs, the song was inspired by a vacation to Mexico -- and subsequently set the foundation for the theme of his upcoming album, which follows two lovers from the start of their romance through to the end.
