Think you're not familiar with Romanthony? I bet you actually are. For anyone who's ever heard Daft Punk's 2001 infectious hit "One More Time" (I know there's at least one or two of you out there), Romanthony lovingly supplied the vocals for the robotic electro duo. So you see, this American-born artist is a dear old friend. I am excited to post a new remix of Romanthony track from 1999, yet feel slightly dirty about the fact that this is the first Romanthony post on Indie Shuffle and it's not an original; just do me a solid and don't tell anyone.
Kitsune's Logorythme (aka Logo) just uploaded this interpretation about a month ago, and it's pretty amazing. Shortened vocal clips barely show face over the persistent, grimy, rolling bass line sparkling in the foreground. I feel like I say this a lot, but it's a perfect 3am dance floor banger to get the kids pumped up. Confident in its 1999/2012 melodic fusion, elements of both decades are decisively bold yet marry harmoniously together. If this was fashion, I'd be wearing a crop top for 1999 and skinny jeans for 2012. Oh wait, I am...
