How often does 'appreciation' get appreciated? I have yet to hear any speeches about it, so let this be my first, but not my last, appreciation post for 'appreciation' in general. I'm not referring to being grateful, or having an appreciation of everything. It's above that.
Perhaps a metaphor will help. What I'm referring to is like eating a taco, and rather than focusing on it's ingredients, or how you're able to eat it, you're giving attention to the fact that it exists in the first place, as a concept.
Which brings me to Roland Tings' latest, it's a song that I'm truly pleased exists, and if 'appreciation' didn't exist it might have gotten this review, or reached your ears.
Given my recent obsession with Weval, and my undying love for Caribou, "Always Rushing" is like a pool full of my favorite candy; a conundrum in itself, because too much of it might actually make me sick.
Luckily there aren't any potentially negative side-effects to my health, so I can just move onto the next track when I'm tired of listening.
