Why do we like this?
I'm so into this track, "L.O.V.E." by Rippy Austin, and I think you will be too.
As soon as I heard this single, I was intrigued and delighted. It's got a modern-day electronic feel to compliment the smooth R&B sound. The touch of soul of soul is apparent in Rippy's vocals, which are incredibly soothing yet strong. While there may be a lot going on instrumentally within this song, it all makes sense. The layers of synths on top of the keyboard on top of the shuffling drums makes for a thick but classy sound.
It's always a pleasant surprise when I hear an artist keeping genres of decades past alive while adding their own modern accent to it. Rippy Austin has grasped this concept perfectly -- consider me hooked! And if you are too, head on over to Rippy's Bandcamp and grab his Patiently Waiting EP for free!
