Why do we like this?
Everyone's favorite name generating, cornrow wearing, out there rapper, RiFF RaFF, has dropped the first official single from his long awaited debut, the appropriately titled Neon Icon. "How To Be The Man" is classic RiFF RaFF, with the Houston native dropping bombs over DJ Mustard's minimal electronic beat.
It's easy to write RaFF off as a gimmick, but anyone that's followed his career, especially over the past few years, understands that what you see is what you get with the laconic RaFF. While his lyrical dexterity isn't always on point, there is no denying he's entertaining, and with lines like, "Now I'm Julius Caesar in a Versace wife beater/Would go on vacation, but my whole life's a weekend," and referencing everything from Miami Vice to Danny Glover and Adam Sandler, it's hard not to be charmed by RaFF's unusual flow and knack for picking beats that suit his style.
