Why do we like this?
The ever-prolific Jamie xx dropped another mix the other day, this time for Fact Magazine. The mix calls more on Jamie as a member of The xx, with a half hour set of dark, night music from the likes of Burial, and Ricky Eat Acid, an up-and-coming producer from Baltimore.
Early in the mix, Rihanna's "Only Girl" pops up, barely recognizable, but it is there. Our buddies over at We All Want Someone To Shout For managed to track down the song as a complete reworking by the aforementioned Ricky Eat Acid.
The inclusion of the track is testament to Jamie xx's fantastic talent for music discovery -- Ricky Eat Acid is a guy with less than 200 SoundCloud followers -- and although that should change soon, we have to thank Jamie xx for helping us to find this awesome new artist!
