Why do we like this?

I am so glad I stumbled onto this little group from Colorado Springs! There is something so touching and honest in vocalist, Mitch Cutts’, vulnerable delivery.

The soft, deftly plucked strings backing the lyrics bring the perfect balance to “Chakra in Basel.” Richy Mitch & The Coalminers just released an album called Solstice last month. All of it is good after only a couple of listens, but this track has drawn me back again and again, like the moth from the song belonging to the subject’s luminosity.

The lyrics are pure poetry. Also, try “Florrisant,” a song about a beautiful place that I wish was my second home too.
