It's about time Rhye created a song called "Taste" because the Toronto native duo comprised of Milosh and Robin Hannibal have unparalleled, impeccable taste.
The duo started by releasing songs online without information – they quickly became indie music's mystery. Not much has changed since then, since 2013's album, Woman, we're yet to know when another record will be released. With new songs "Please" and "Summer Days" arriving in 2017, there were hopes for an album. But as Rhye's pattern goes, very little information accompanied the singles, leaving one to only speculate.
Speculation and story aside, "Taste" is a soulful, understatedly groovy track that you can swing your summer doors open to, and let the night sky waft in amidst its sultry beats and glossy vocals. Enjoy.
