Reuben Hollebon just released a hauntingly post-punk track called "Faces." This song is dark but glittering, confined but spacial. I'm not saying that it's a contradiction; I'm saying that it's multifaceted and very much up to your own interpretation.
It starts off with a slithering bass and quivering vocals, with a delicate guitar to brighten the sound. But the overall theme of this song seems to be agony and despair, and possibly the beauty within that.
All I know is that I thoroughly enjoy Reuben Hollebon's unique style and grace, but it looks like we'll have to wait until the fall for his next release!
