As soon as the opening synth line from "Love Nobody" hits, you're transported back to a time when colourful suits, bad hair and spandex ruled the world.
The debut single from Perth based phenomenon Reija Lee (one half of duo Kito and Reija), "Love Nobody," is a sensual '80s ballad with all the trimmings. Lee's voice is mesmerizing, drawing you in as the electronic production wraps itself around her soulful tones.
A collaborative effort alongside Melbourne hit maker Styalz Fuego (Illy, Peking Duk, The Knocks, Seth Sentry), "Love Nobody" will leave you wanting more once the sax hits towards the songs end. Speaking with The Low Down Under, Lee had this to say about the tune:
'Love Nobody' is kind of a self love anthem. I’ve written a lot of songs, and a lot of love songs at that, but never one for myself. For everyone who needs a bit of self-love, this one’s for you. (And me).
This is an amazing debut track from Lee and I'm excited to hear what she has in store as the year progresses.
