Why do we like this?
Since their inception in 2007, Brisbane's Re:Enactment have been building a local reputation for their dance-inducing live performances. With a wide range of influences, the electro-rock four-piece have a very unique sound, quite original. Having flown below the radar somewhat over the years, Re:Enactment look bound to change that with the upcoming release of their debut album, Sport - due for release in March this year.
The first track single from the album, "Too Much," was released in the shadows of 2011. "Too Much" is great, a song which really draws you in with its intriguing approach. Smooth, layered and a little bit unsettling, it describes the break down of a relationship perfectly, a feeling I'm sure everyone will relate to.
This well produced and catchy first single bodes well for the release of the album. I have no doubt that Sport will have Re:Enactment directly on the music world's radar in no time.
