Why do we like this?

I'm a big fan of Brisbane artist Rebel Yell. Her 2016 debut EP Mother Of Millions is an absorbing minefield of electronic and industrial expressions led by standout singles "Never Perfection" and "Take Me Away."

Finally returning this year with new single, "High Authority," Rebel Yell once again has me hitting repeat. Retaining the industrial sound of her EP, "High Authority" channels a more electronic sound, with brain beating synths and throbbing percussion. Rebel Yell's distorted vocals creep under the mix, adding an element of dread to the track.

Describing the track to i-D as, "out with the old, in with the new," it's clear to see Rebel Yell is slowly finding her niche with "High Authority."
