Why do we like this?

Rebel Kites is a fitting name for a band that fell out of the sky and hit me on the head.

I hyped a track by a duo called OHO when I first started writing for Indie Shuffle. Paul handled most of OHO's production. After roughly three years with minimal contact, Paul told me recently that he now rolls with Rebel Kites, a London-based band fronted by Alex Story.

Today we're premiering "Atlas Sky," a sprawling, cinematic ballad that has me interested in more of Alex and Rebel Kites's poetic and heartfelt story. Fun fact: the band's live shows result in more than fifteen instruments on stage, per their official site.

"Atlas Sky" appears on Rebel Kites's forthcoming EP The Witnessing, available April 11.
