Raveena Sweet Time

Raveena is my favorite kind of artist these days: self-funded, self-run, and self-inspired. Not to mention, she makes absolutely fantastic music. In her own words, this NYC R&B artist has "no manager, no PR, no white privilege, no famous friends," and her work is 100 percent her creative vision. You go girl. 

Ahead of her independent EP coming later this year, Raveena has dropped "Sweet Time," and - you guessed it - a self-directed music video. But you'd never guess it wasn't produced by a top music agency. 

Drawing on the vibrant hues of Bollywood cinema, "Sweet Time" floats dreamily through an afternoon with a group of women, "coming together to celebrate their natural beauty, sisterhood, and inner magic," according to Raveena.
