Brooklyn-based collective Railbird just released a brand new fiery track with the musical support of singer-songwriter Sean Rowe and Sarah Barthel of Phantogram. Titled "Jump Ship," this subtly sexy song illuminates demure and rhythmic pleasantries while delivering a darkly obscure quality that captivates you within the first couple of listens.
While Railbird is made up of frontwoman Sarah K. Pedinotti and her troupe of brilliant multi-instrumentalists, "Jump Ship" spans over so many genres that you can certainly value where each member chimes in with their own vocal arrangement or unique style of instrumentation. Under great scrutiny, the layers of electronics and vocals can seem rather convoluted, but the song is so intimately structured that all complexity flies out the window and we are left with a truly mesmerizing track.
