From their 2001 Amnesiac B-sides release, "The Amazing Sounds Of Orgy" is one of my all-time favorite Radiohead tracks. I realize that this isn't a new discovery, but to a lot of diehards out there, this review is long overdue.
What we have here in "The Amazing Sounds Of Orgy" is a slew of dark, sexy imagery. It's quite possible that the fascination lies within the curious title, but what really increases interest is the audible manipulation. Commencing with ghostly howling, the song eventually breaks down into a bass-heavy contagion of interspersed sounds, all which flutter in and out of my mind in pure ominous fantasy. It's like a hyper-vibrant work of art, but controlled in such a way that it's hard to come back to reality once it's all over.
