Why do we like this?
A couple weeks ago, Jamie xx's remix of "Bloom" worked its way out into the blogosphere. As soon as I got my hands on it, I concluded that it was the best thing since sliced bead. Except for the fact that it only clocked in at around two-and-a-half minutes. "If only," I lamented, "there were a longer version of this track!"
And so it appears that Jamie xx and the good men of Radiohead have heard my call, officially releasing "Bloom (Jamie xx Rework Pt. 3)" today. Frankly, I couldn't be more stoked (from a music enthusiast perspective, that is). This meandering, 7+ minute track is an amazing minimal remix. Without a doubt, it further elevates my perception of Jamie xx as one of the quickest rising musicians of the modern moment.
