Why do we like this?

Wounded

A song as soft as it is haunting, this track is a sad New York morning, an urban view of a rose garden. It's scaffolding and romantic kisses - it's painfully beautiful.

Rachel Bobbitt has taken my already weak heart, given me some tea and told me to cry. "Bandages" is an exotic creature, a melancholic combination of soft indie sadness and playful lyrical exposition that is the perfect sound-based example of a breakup hug. It's a mistake punished, but an apology for the punishment.

The sound it gives is so inviting and whispy that you get flown away into this world of ambient city noise, distant passion and a lead vocal that's a punishing beauty I didn't want to let go of.
