Why do we like this?

Race the Tide is the latest project from multi-instrumentalist Jesse Macht, brother of actor Gabriel Macht (USA network's Suits).His forthcoming self-titled record features "Rip Tide," a thoughtful pop electronic-Americana blend.

The track opens on some vaguely LCD vibes with its synth and piano, before shifting gears into what a collaboration between War on Drugs and Ryan Adams might sound like. It's a trippy, nearly schizophrenic ride...if except for the fact that the mood stays so mellow under RTT's oozing vocal delivery. 

RTT is just about to wrap up his 'Sunsets at' North American tour.
