Why do we like this?

There used to be a day and age when I'd freak out at the prospect of a new RAC song being released. I guess that time still exists, because I'll admit I was quite giddy to turn RAC's new "This Song" on for a first listen.

On the vocals is Rostam Batmanglij, formerly of Vampire Weekend and Discovery. He's got quite a familiar voice, and I think it sits well alongside RAC's signature indie pop sound.

So, the song itself is pretty darn good; but there's more good news. This'll be included as part of a new album, due for release sometime in the Nothern Hemisphere's summer. Here's hoping there'll be a continued barrage of new RAC songs between now and then.
