Why do we like this?
So André, how does it feel getting your own work remixed? I bet it feels pretty darn satisfying.
The funny thing about this remix is that I can easily imagine Sir Sly's rework to be the actual original song and the actual original to be the usual remix from RAC; it's just how it feels to me for some odd reason.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that this is the very first remix that we've heard from the L.A. based trio Sir Sly. So then who better to remix than the remix king himself! It's not quite a striped down version, but more so a lo-fi (or Sly-fi) minimalist electronic remix that reveals the frailty of both Kele and MNDR's vocals.
Don't forget about RAC's EP which comes out at the end of this month with two more original songs featuring Katie Herzig and Tokyo Police Club!
