Orchid Tapes is at it again! The New York-based label is releasing a brand new compilation album, a follow-up to 2014's acclaimed Boring Ecstasy: The Bedroom Pop of Orchid Tapes. The new compilation is entitled Radiating Light after a lyric from Yohuna’s “Badges” and is set to drop August 12th. If it's anything like the last compilation, Radiating Light promises to deliver a healthy dose of the introspective indie rock Orchid Tapes is known for.
The first track released off the album comes from R.L. Kelly: no, not the “Ignition” hitmaker but the project of LA-based singer-songwriter Rachel Levy. Mixing dreamy harmonies with moody guitars, “Mad” sounds like a cut off a 90s Veruca Salt record in the best way possible.
