Why do we like this?
Detroit-bred Quelle Chris has been making interesting music for years, from the rodeo-style wild wild west "Shotgun" featuring Danny Brown and Roc Marciano to his "Ratshit" homage paying dues to Detroit EDM music. Quelle found his staple once he signed onto Mello Music Group (home of Apollo Brown, 14KT, Oddisee, Diamond District, The Black Opera).
Here is something extremely provocative from Quelle, titled "White Man's Burden." By all means, what he has done with this song in particular is reversed the narration of what happened with Martin/Zimmerman. When did big media cover Roderick Scott/Christopher Cervini? It never happened, so there cannot be any justice. Quelle Chris has provided a disclaimer for his art: "This song is not intended to promote violence. It's purpose is to provide a different perspective. Anyone can be a victim when everyone's afraid."
Here, whether you agree with the reverse picture, or not, it is certainly difficult to deny that race (even though Zimmerman is Hispanic, quietly saved a family from their overturned SUV, and was pulled over for speeding in Texas) was mistakenly used as the motive for Trayvon Martin's death. Oblivious media, and the social masses that follow such "1up" tactics, were lead to believe Martin's mixture of skittles and watermelon fruit juice were a recipe for lean. Well, if the blind believe that, Google "purple drank" for yourself. Dumb irrelevance.
