Why do we like this?

It's unfortunate that for such a lovely name, when Googled, "Queen Alaska" brings a barrage of information about an unrelated drag queen. But Anneli Bentler of Berlin, the musician, producer, and audiovisual artist, uses her talents to create a landscape of sound worthy of more online recognition in "Under My Skin."

'Just don't stay in my imagination,' Bentler asks, as she turns and tosses in a dreamy haze. The repetitive synths and electronic beats drive a relentless and restless forward motion, building a sense of anxiety and desire for realized, physical attainment. 

While complex in sound, the song stays simplistic in lyrical content, and I'm curious to see if Bentler expands on that element in her debut EP this fall.
