Why do we like this?
Portland's duo Pure Bathing Culture has released a video for their single, "Ivory Coast," and it's really quite... endearing.
If you're unfamiliar with Pure Bathing Culture, their musical style is smooth and orchestral indie pop. It's perfect music for the fall season, too.
Their video for "Ivory Coast" is thoroughly entertaining, to say the least. Lead singer, Sarah Versprille is completely smittin by guitarist Dan Hindman, and his alien charm. Literally. He's an alien. And they make an alien baby who then must go with Dan back to outer space (I think?). But before all of that, the video depicts a dear and loving relationship between mother and alien son accompanied by a fantastic song, of course.
I've really never seen a video quite like this before. As outlandish as it may appear, it's got a relatable quality to it. To hear Pure Bathing Culture's EP, order it here.
