Sounds like:
Liars,
Los Campesinos!
Why do we like this?
Good noise-rock can be hard to come by. Perhaps because of its raw nature, it's become something of a go-to for bands looking to get loud, without much consideration to the musical skill underneath the fuzz of their guitars.
Thankfully, there are bands like Brooklyn-based Pterodactyl who bring songwriting chops to the noise. Their punk rock sensibilities are evident in the track "School Glue," the first single off their upcoming album Spills Out (out November 15).
The shimmer of guitars, layered with vocals that manage to be harmonious in their dischord, adds new dimension to the crashing fuzz of the track. Enjoy!
