Ptaki Krystyna

Warsaw duo Ptaki may be some of the first Polish artists to be featured on Indie Shuffle.

Ptaki, which means "birds," are making quite a splash in Poland with their slo-mo, disco-inflected grooves. Perhaps their best track yet is "Krystyna," a track that -- despite its Eastern European origins -- has a distinctly Balearic flavor, with slow groove and sunset keys.

"Krystyna" came out as part of the The Very Polish Cut Outs Sampler Vol. 1, a project in which old Soviet-era vocalists are re-edited into something more modern, with Krystyna Prońko's  "Specjalne okazje" the sample material in this one.
