After Prince died, I wanted to be mad at any remix that was put out. It seems a bit too easy for artists to hop on The Pirate Bay, torrent all of Prince's music, make some SoundCloud bootlegs, and gain some following off of someone who just passed away. That doesn't seem like an honorable way to pay your respect to an artist.
Seiho & Ehiorobo's cover hit my SoundCloud stream the other day, and before I got mad, I decided to give it a spin, because "Adore" was likely my favorite tune by Prince.
This cover truly honor's Prince and uses a sample to show the world how much of a humble person he was. I doubt he would be angry that some kids are bootlegging his music, and would honestly be a bit grateful that he's being remembered on this level. After all, he didn't really look at himself like some sort of superstar.
