Pretty Girls is a three-piece band based in Boca Raton, Florida. Bobby Maloy (guitar/songwriter) and Brandon Seymour (drums) formed the band in July 2012, and was soon joined by Kyla Bostick (vocals/bass).
This past Saturday they rocked Deerfield Beach for a free show on the sand. The concert was part of a Surfers For Autism all day event, and they were the last act to play for this awesome cause.
Pretty Girls hit the stage at 9pm, playing for about 45 minutes total. Their sound is perfect for an oceanside event; they mix surf rock and garage punk rock elements together well. You could tell that the crowd was really feeling the vibe.
They played a few covers, but mostly stuck to original songs including "Denim," "Wanna Go Home," "Agent Utah," and featured track "Waiting On You, We're Baats."
"Waiting On You, We're Baats" was recorded live at Miami Beach Recording Studio, which gives you a feel for their live performance. Their next show is on May 2 in Delray Beach at Dada, so if you like their sound be sure to check them out.
