When L.A.-based electronic duo Pr0files unveiled a brave but beautiful live demo of their new single "Forgive" last month, I didn't think I could fall in love with the track any further. However, now the studio version has hit the Internet, I'm pleased to say that I couldn't have been more wrong.
Replacing the demo's haunting piano chords with electrifying 80s synths, "Forgive" somehow manages to transform itself from a raw, harrowing piano ballad into a retro, Kavinsky-inspired sad-pop banger.
Built around a dark, silky hook, "Forgive" is stylishly broken up by Lauren Pardini's sensual vocals, that effortlessly soar over the song's beautiful yet brooding soundscape.
