When music duos start off as friends, there’s usually a pretty good chance that the music they produce together ends up being incredibly organic.
This is the case for the fresh new electronic duo Pr0files out of Los Angeles, comprised of Lauren Pardini and Danny Sternbaum. Pardini formerly worked with Purity Ring and A$AP Rocky, and Sternbaum has remixed tracks for artists including Ellie Goulding, Gorillaz, and Miami Horror -- so you could say that the two of them have been around.
When it comes to working together, their newest track “Empty Hands” is a great example of a collaboration going in all of the right directions. Pardini’s vocals soar throughout the drenched vocals, simply flying through the song. It’s a mix of new wave nostalgia and futuristic fiction.
Be on the lookout for their debut album Jurassic Technologie, which was just announced and slated for a release February 2016.
