"Out now on digital. Vinyl next week."As I type this review, a mere 13 hours after this snazzy remix was loaded to SoundCloud, this is the explanation the NYC-based producer gives us. Short, and to the merchandise point.
Bit Funk is a favorite of mine, seemingly flying slightly under the French house/nu disco radar that is French Express, The Magician, etc. His original productions, remixes, and mixes are always intelligently crafted and seamlessly executed.
This remix of Portland's "You Don't Know Me" certainly follows suit with this trend, starting with a bumping bassline and short vocal samples. With a quickly escalating melody, I'm gonna say it's safe to call this remix a win.
