Why do we like this?

I've been following CutMyLips since his first single "Out," and something tells me he might actually be a secret project by Cashmere Cat. What leads me to believe that, you ask? I think it has something to do with a) the percussion and b) the engineering.

I mean for crying out loud, listen to his Secret Songs release and tell me I'm wrong. Either this is just incredibly similar to Cashmere's sound, or– um, the other option is that I'm right.
