Why do we like this?

I like Porches. Aaron Maine is cool, unique and hip, but I’ve never been moved by any of his songs before. There is something powerful wrapped up in “Country,” though I can’t place a finger on it, and I’m not certain I want to.

It’s one of those tracks that grips a hold of your arm from the start and pulls you into the fleeting images of old memories, only to pull you away before they come into focus. “Country” is barely two minutes long, so you’ll play it again, hoping the second time, or third, will provide you with the revelation you wanted.
