Why do we like this?

Way back in the day, a little group by the name The Morning Benders managed to convince all of the blogs to cover each and every one of their releases. And then they decided to change their name...

POP ETC hasn't made a whole lot of noise since their 2012 debut album, but this week they're back with a new single that -- in many ways -- surprises me.

Gone are the acoustic / jolly / folk elements of their former sound; in their place stands a testament to modern indie rock, synths and all. And frankly, I think I'm digging the change of pace.
